A 72-Point Portal Audit That Found 23 Fixes Before Any AI Agent Went Live
The agency wanted to switch on the Content Agent for client work. The audit showed why that would have produced off-brand copy from an unowned portal, and what to fix first.

Challenge
A small agency had an active HubSpot portal, a dozen client sub-brands and plans to use Breeze for content production. Nobody owned the portal; the last admin had left. Before any agent went live, the founder wanted to know what it would get wrong.
Approach
- Ran the full HubAIOps audit: a read-only scan of the portal plus the self-assessment with the founder and the account lead.
- 72 checks across data, permissions, knowledge, the three agents and governance, each with evidence from the scan.
- Prioritised 23 fixes into Do Now, Do Next and Do Later with an owner and a first step for each.
- Closed the nine Do Now items together: a named portal owner, Brand Voice configured per client sub-brand, obsolete articles archived, lifecycle definitions written, and three near-duplicate properties merged.
Results
- 23 concrete fixes instead of a vague sense that "the data is messy".
- Nine prerequisite fixes done in three weeks, before the Content Agent was switched on.
- The Content Agent launched with a brand-voice review step and a named owner.
AI-readiness impact
Readiness moved from 33 to 71 in a month. The remaining gap is mostly Do Later work on the Prospecting Agent, which the agency has chosen not to use yet.
